7519 North Main Street was built in 1940 and was originally the home of Charles Millington’s Millington Fish Bait Market.
7501 North Main Street was built in 1947 for the Kinard Drug Store.
7365 North Main Street was completed in 1954 for Howard’s Department Store. For many years, the 8,912-square-foot building was occupied by Ace Hardware.
In business since 1928, the Panama Park Pharmacy is the oldest operating pharmacy in the city. The current 5,571-square-foot building at 7303 North Main Street was completed in 2007.
Joseph’s Pizza has been a Panama Park fixture on Main Street since 1956. The family-owned Italian eatery is known for its homemade dressings, sauces, meatballs, Italian sausage and breads. Built in 1942, the A. B. Williams Drug Store was the original tenant at 7302 North Main Street.
The Universal Church at 7137 North Main Street. This building was originally constructed for the North Main Street Baptist Church in 1950.
The Israel United Missionary Baptist Church at 6901 North Main Street. This building was completed in 1949 for the Main Street Methodist Church.
The Diet Alert Center at 6620 North Main Street in Panama Park was originally a Padgett’s 66 Service Station.Padgett’s was owned and operated by Manchester M. Padgett of Fernandina Beach.
Hip Hop Fish & Chicken is a popular Chicago-style fish and chicken restaurant chain with a local location at 6610 North Main Street. The building dates back to 1963.
The Tip Top Tavern at 6522 North Main Street is located in a 1945 building that was originally a restaurant owned by Richard E. Atkinson.
Bert’s Auto Air & Heat at 6416 North Main Street. This 1,565-square-foot building was completed in 1951 and was once occupied by Deidrich Boats & Motors.
6405 North Main Street was built by Jax Liquors Inc. in 1973. Jax Liquors was founded in 1941 by Don Tredinick. In 1990, the 36-store Jacksonville chain was acquired by ABC Liquors Inc.
