Located at 8075 North Main Street, the Alexander & Sons Shrimp Company is a family owned and operated fresh seafood market, known for its local wild caught shrimp. The building was completed in 1948 and was once known as the Davis Service Station.

Smoked mullet and garlic crabs at the Alexander & Sons Shrimp Company. Another market, the Trout River Fish Company, is located across the street at 8074 North Main Street. The Trout River Fish Company is a long time market featuring local wild caught seafood in Jacksonville and everything ranging from bait and tackle to crab legs, oysters, conch and fresh fish. Located at the foot of the Trout River Bridge, 8132 Trout River Drive was the home of the Palms Restaurant. After the Palms closed, the building was occupied by Jackie’s Seafood from 1992 through the early 2010s.

The Old Trout River Bridge Pier is a popular spot for recreational fishing. Built in 1930, the bascule bridge was a part of Main Street’s entrance into the city.

The current swing bridge was constructed over the Trout River in 1938 by the Seaboard Air Line.

The Garden Shack at 7633 North Main Street was originally the Burnett Sisk Filling Station when the building was completed in 1951.

Established in 1987, Marble Masters, Stone Care Specialists is a family owned and operated business located at 7621 North Main Street.

The building dates back to 1945 and was originally built for the Hoelscher Distribution Company. During the 1950s, the Keebler Biscuit Company utilized the building as an industrial bakery.

Built in 1946, 7636 North Main Street (tile roofed building in the background) was Ward’s Drive In Restaurant during the 1950s.

The Property Voice Management building at 7622 North Main Street was originally constructed in 1961.

The Moonlight Glass and Company at 7602 North Main Street is one of the oldest surviving commercial buildings on North Main Street in Panama Park. Completed in 1937, the 3,377-square-foot building was originally Bob’s Service Garage.

Bowman Heating and Air Conditioning is located at 7523 North Main Street. The building was completed in 1944 and was once the location of Keen’s Garage.
