On Wednesday, September 20th, Southeastern Grocers opened Jacksonville’s latest Winn-Dixie in an Arlington shopping center it once anchored two decades ago.

Located at 999 University Boulevard North, the $3.84 million, 43,615 square foot store is the latest example of redevelopment taking place along the University Boulevard corridor in the city’s Renew Arlington Community Redevelopment Area.

The store also serves as an anchor for the continued redevelopment of the former Town & Country shopping center. Dating back to 1953, the 189,000 square foot shopping center is currently being redeveloped by Jacksonville-based JWB Real Estate Capital into a mixed-use development now known as College Park. Here are a few photographs of the new Winn-Dixie store and the on-going rejuvenation of the College Park project.
