16. The Mullikin Building at 1701 North Pearl Street was completed in 1926. Today the building is occupied by the popular Superette grocery store.

20. The two-story building at 1821 North Pearl Street was completed in 1922, a few years before Jacksonville’s first zoning ordinance designated the corridor as a business district. With the streetcar line making Pearl as major transit connection between Springfield and Downtown, the corridor had already been built with higher mixed-use density than most streets in Jacksonville’s historic urban core.
