Murray Hill and North Shore are two urban core neighborhoods developed during the same period as Pearl Court. However what makes Pearl Court distinct among the three is that it was designed to include sidewalks on both sides of its streets.

While designed to accommodate the automobile, Pearl Court was also built to include a small neighborhood commercial district dating back to 1938 along Pearl Street where it crossed the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad.

This church building opened on Pearl Street, just north of the railroad crossing, in 1958.

The neighborhood of Pearl Court is located roughly 3.5 miles north of Downtown Jacksonville. It can be accessed from Downtown via Pearl Street by driving north to the intersection of Pearl and West 44th streets.
