Construction permits are issued for East San Marco. The new ArchCo Residential plan is expected to break ground in April 2017 with completion scheduled for 2019.

March 2017

With development costs rising past $80 million, ArchCo Residential decides to terminate its involvement with East San Marco, just before it is scheduled to close on the purchase of the property from Regency Centers.

April 2018

After years of being stalled due to the residential component, Regency Centers announces that it will develop East San Marco as a retail-only project. Eliminating the multistory residential component, the project will only be a 30,000 square foot Publix and 20,000 square feet of retail shops.

October 2019

Renderings are released showing East San Marco as a two-story retail project. In addition, a town hall meeting is scheduled for 6 p.m. on Thursday at Southside Baptist Church at 1435 Atlantic Boulevard. There, development and design team representatives will be on hand to discuss the project with residents.
