Malcolm X Boulevard

Formerly known as Lenox Avenue, Malcolm X Boulevard is the primary north-south route through Harlem. It was described as “Harlem’s heartbeat” by Langston Hughes in his poem Juke Box Love Song. The New York Subway’s 2 and 3 trains run under the entire length of Malcolm X Boulevard.

Located on Malcolm X Boulevard, the Schomburg Center for Research in Black Culture is a research library and an archive repository for information on people of African descent worldwide.

The Harlem Hospital Center is a 272-bed public teaching hospital affiliated with Columbia University.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints at Malcolm X Boulevard and West 128th Street.
