A conceptual Riverside Avenue elevation.

Plans to construct a new $145 million world headquarters complex for Fidelity National Information Services, Inc. (FIS) in Brooklyn at 323 Riverside Avenue appear to continue to move forward.

Seeking conceptual approval for the development of a 12-story office tower and an 8-story parking structure, project architect Gensler has submitted conceptual plans of the project to the Downtown Development Review Board (DDRB). Documents received indicate the construction of a 300,000 square foot, 212-foot-tall office tower and 1,603 space parking garage on a 5.71 acre site at the intersection of Riverside Avenue and Forest Street. To make way for the development, the historic Fire Station #5 building on Riverside Avenue would be razed.

Bounded to the north and south by Northwestern Mutual and the TIAA Bank Building, the garage would include a 3,600 square foot retail/office space along Riverside Avenue and a 21-foot-wide urban open space along the Forest Street elevation of the garage labeled as the Garden Walk. This space would feature seating, enhanced landscaping and additional features.

The office tower would be constructed between the garage and the St. Johns River, with a main entrance along Forest Street. A result of a $43 billion 2019 acquisition of Cincinnati-based Worldpay, Inc. by FIS, when completed in June 2022, all FIS’s offices in Jacksonville will be consolidated into the 300,000 square foot structure, along with the creation of 500 additional high paying jobs.
