Last year’s Oyster Fest 2025 brought residents, families, local businesses, environmental leaders, and youth together from across Jacksonville’s Northside for a vibrant celebration of environmental restoration, cultural heritage, and community-driven economic development. The event, located in the Riverview neighborhood, showcased the vital role oyster reefs play in improving water quality and shoreline resilience, while also creating meaningful opportunities for local vendors, artists, and small businesses to generate income and build visibility.

Through hands-on education, local entrepreneurship, and strong community partnerships, Oysterfest 2025 demonstrated how environmental stewardship and neighborhood wealth building go hand-in-hand. The festival helped to keep dollars circulating locally, inspired youth through interactive learning, and strengthened connections between residents and the Trout River.
