Rutledge H. Pearson Elementary School is located at 4346 Roanoke Boulevard and adjacent to Beverly Hills Park. The school and park site were established in 1956 by the developers of the Sherwood Forest and Osceola Forest neighborhoods. Currently, Rutledge H. Pearson Elementary is being replaced with a new school complex.

Originally known as the Sherwood Forest Playground, the Charles “Boobie” Clark Park and Pool is located at 8793 Sibbald Road. Originally completed in the early 1960s, the park is named after Jacksonville native Charles E. Clark. Clark was a fullback for the Cincinnati Bengals from 1972 to 1982 that passed in 1988.

The Ebenezer United Methodist Church is located at 9114 Norfolk Boulevard. The sanctuary was built in 1957.

Traveling north on Soutel Drive, just north of Sibbald Road.

The Sherwood Town Center is a 93,364 square foot shopping center located at 5045 Soutel Drive. The shopping center opened in 1960 and was originally anchored by Sears. Other early tenants included W.T. Grant Company, Winn-Dixie, Kentucky Friend Chicken, O’Steen’s Pharmacy and Skate City.

The Shoppes of Norfolk is a 52,500-square-foot shopping center located at 4750 Soutel Drive.

Lonnie C. Miller Sr. Regional Park is a 126-acre park that opened in December 1995. The park was named for Detective Lonnie Miller. Lonnie C. Miller Sr. Regional Park is located at 7689 Price Road.

Morris Manor is an assisted living facility at 9050 Norfolk Boulevard that opened in 1980.

The Greater Grant Memorial AME Church was built at 5533 Gilchrist Road in 1971.
