JEA Corporate Headquarters

Minneapolis-based Ryan Companies US, Inc. is targeting an April 2020 ground breaking for a $72.2 million, nine-story office tower at 225 North Pearl Street. The project would include 200,000-square-feet of office space and an 850-space parking garage with 7,170-square-feet of ground floor retail. Once complete, the development will be leased by JEA to serve as the utility’s corporate headquarters. Plans for a foundation permit are currently under review.

Forsyth & Main Parking Garage

Located on the south side of West Forsyth Street between Main and Laura streets, the proposed Forysth and Main parking garage was initially intended to provide parking for the nearby Barnett and Laura Street Trio projects, and the general public. Last fall it was announced that VyStar Credit Union would acquire the property from the city and construct the garage. In January 2020, City Council President Scott Wilson filed a bill to approve VyStar’s proposal to build a garage with a minimum of 550 spaces, leasing up to 250 spaces to the DIA at $100 per space, per month. Assuming the city approves the bill, VyStar must begin construction within three months of closing on the property and complete the project within 15 months.
