The Next Wave of Craft Breweries in Jacksonville

The second largest craft brewer in Jacksonville, Bold City Brewery is expanding its footprint to include a 1,400 square foot brewpub along Bay Street in downtown’s Elbow entertainment district.

Bearded Buffalo Brewing Company is set to open two facilities in 2017. A slightly less then 2,500 brewpub is under construction on King Street in the Riverside neighborhood, while a 15,000 square foot facility is being redeveloped in a former bowling alley off Blanding Blvd in the Lakeshore neighborhood. The larger facility will feature a production facility, 12-lane bowling alley, pizza kitchen, tasting room and multiple bars.

Atlantic Beach Brewing Company is now under construction at 725 Atlantic Boulevard, in a multi-tenant commercial facility in Atlantic Beach.

Southern Swells Brewing Company is currently building out a 7,500 square foot production facility and tasting room off Beach Blvd in Jacksonville Beach.

Main and Six Brewing Company is currently applying for rezoning of a 3,000 square foot facility along Main Street in the Springfield neighborhood, with plans to open a brewpub.

Jacksonville-based Bono’s Pit Bar-B-Que, led by Scott Adeeb, has submitted a proposal to the City of Jacksonville to convert the former 9th & Main building into a restaurant, brewpup and theater. This roughly 7,300 square foot facility has been owned by the City of Jacksonville and left vacant for nearly a decade.

Hyperion Brewing Company is currently applying for rezoning of a more than 5,500 square foot commercial property on Main Street, in the heart of the Springfield neighborhood’s long-struggling commercial district.
