Developed by The Walt Disney Company, Celebration was planned as a $2.5 billion new urbanist community during the early 1990s. 27 years after its first phase was launched, the community is now home to more than 11,000 residents. While intended to mimic a walkable early 20th century community, 91% of residents who work outside of their homes drive to work. Here are a few photographs of the Central Florida city that Disney built.
